Politics what is the difference?

The Two Main Parties: are there differences?

Explore the striking similarities between the Conservatives and the Labour Party in politics, and discover the potential for transformative change.

We have the Conservatives and the Labour Party, at the moment there is no difference between the two parties, people will state that the Conservatives have had the Pandemic to deal with in paying off the debt incurred. However the turmoil by replacing the prime minister in quick succession has caused more harm to the Conservative party.  Their policies have moved further to the left, while trying to state that they are the party of the people.

This has been followed by increases in Taxes and an increase in the nanny state. The Government has also gone back on removing all of the EU laws and removing sections from British law. The Conservatives stated that they would protect the fishing industry, farming and other industries, this has all been hot air.  Not forgetting the championing of Net 0 Zero and Climate Change.

The Conservatives have lost their way they are no longer Conservatives in the form of Margaret Thatcher and the Conservative party of the 1980’s. During the last ten years the Conservative party has lurched to the left.

Moving on the the Labour party, they have had their problems with many of their MP’s and Councillors being charged or imprisoned for various crimes. They have a leader who is as interesting as paint drying. The leader has also been called Captain Hindsight for what he would have done.  If only he had his time machine to see the future.

Also there is the Labour candidate caught stealing on camera.

Then there are the Labour policies, we have heard of the 28 Billion they were going to spend on the climate change, not any more. The question is what do Labour stand for?  Apart from bringing in a Tax on privately run schools, many of which have children from working class families who want their children to have the best education they can.  It has now turned out that if the Labour party managed to win the Election and implement this law, they would be in trouble with the ECHR.

The other parties

The Liberal Democrats are pro EU and would take the UK back into Europe, the Greens are for the Environment, the SNP only care about indepence, not forgetting the amount per person the UK government gives Scotland in monetary terms.

The tide may be changing with Nigel Farage and the Reform UK Party coming into the 2024 General Election, the standing in the polls is increasing, although many say when asked by pollsters “What party will you vote for?” The answer “Labour”, I expect the Labour party have had a high polling level for so long that those who have voted Labour in the past are actually closet Reform UK supporters but do not want people to know.

The Main stream media are trying to derail the ReformUK campaign, an example would be the BBC loading the Question Time audience with either paid stooges, or inviting Labour activists, along with an Islamist who has been in the Palestine Marches in London and other marches.  The likes of Sky News interviewers asking Nigel Farage the same questions over and over, only to receive the right and truthful answer each time.

The General Election of 2024 will be interesting and may not turn out the way the polls are suggesting.
